If you see this happy apple, er, lovely lady today, please wish her a happy birthday! (It’s a day early but she won’t mind. 😉) This is Aunt Joan, Phil Schwallier’s sister, and one of the many people we count on to make Schwallier’s Country Basket a FAMILY business! Happy birthday Joan!

WEEKEND UPDATE:

The tree colors are peaking! The fall season is flying, and now is the perfect time to come enjoy sweater weather, c***r and donuts galore, corn maze mischief, and more!

🌽 Our Corn Maze + Back 40 is open Friday afternoon (12 p.m.-6 p.m., last tickets sold at 5), and all day Saturday and Sunday (last tickets sold at 5 p.m. each day). If you haven’t been out to wander in our corn maze or play in the Back 40, we’ve added paintball target shooting to our lineup, along with our super fun apple cannons! (Corn Maze + Back 40 is $16/person. Apple cannons are an additional $5/bucket of ammo; Paintball is $5/$9 for 50/100 shots of ammo.) The Back 40 also features super slides, bounce pads, rock labyrinth, pedal carts, vintage tractor climb-ons, giant straw mountain, a snack shack, and space to roam!

🍏Apple u-pick is going, going, almost gone. With weather and demand, our season ran a bit ahead of what we’ve been used to. Every year is different and we have to adapt—we can’t slow down or hurry Mother Nature! We have very limited quantities of the following (as of Friday):

Granny Smith
Ida Red

🍕 The N.O.B. will be open for lunch, early dinner, snacks and treats from 11-5 Saturday and Sunday. This week’s Chef Adam specials include a very special homemade Spiced Butternut Squash and Apple Bisque (gluten free, dairy free) made in memory of our dear friend and employee Amy Iwaniw, who died earlier this year after battling breast cancer. She led school tours for us for many years, and was beloved by our family. Amy loved this bisque! It’s hard to serve this without thinking about how much we miss her.

We also have Red Chili with Beans, Smoked brisket (while supplies last… this one has been popular!); Pickle and Margherita Wood-fired Pizzas; Harvest Chips with Goat Cheese Sauce.

These guys are hopping and hoping you come out to play. Our Corn Maze + Back 40 is open today at noon and we are ready to welcome you out here. Donuts baked fresh daily. Nothing says peak fall like time out at our place!

If you are looking ahead to the weekend, keep us in mind for your fall fun! It looks to be another stretch of beautiful October weather—what better way to spend it than out in the fresh air with us?
