The roadside stand is open for the day!

We’ve been open less than anticipated this summer — but know that we’re regularly available to schedule pick up from the stand even when it’s not “open” to the public.

The stand is finally restocked and opened back up! We anticipate it being open most Thursdays and Saturdays.

Right now you’ll find a variety of sizes of regular and bourbon aged maple syrup as well as hand made soap and organic soy wax candles.

We again have our regular and bourbon aged syrup for sale 7 days a week through the summer and fall at Grange Fruit Farm — so if you’re on that side of Sparta, or need syrup when we’re not open— definitely pay them a visit and check out all of the amazing things they have to offer as well.

Scratch that, friends.
Sugar did not go well today.
Could be the humidity (although we always make cream and sugar in hot weather before our summer markets). Could be the syrup (we test invert sugar levels so that should not be a factor either.)

Could just be how today is. Sometimes that’s just how things go.

But instead of crystallizing properly, it’s just turning into the consistency of fudge and jamming up my mixers.

5 hours later and 5 gallons of syrup dumped— I will not be attempting more cream or sugar until fall. Ain’t no one got time for this. Well— no one with a “real” job, kids a garden and about 40 animals to take care of 🫠

But I’ll have all sorts of regular and bourbon aged syrup at our markets and in our stand for the summer— just like before we got all fancy.
