Have a heavy heart today,
Our best and first breeding buck, Butters(AKA professor Chaos),
crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning,

He produced so many litters I lost count, and always was such a shining bright loving bunny,

This one hits deep,
You were so loved baby boy,
We will cherish every moment we had with you and celebrate your life,

You were always one of our happiest bunnies, and I take solice in the fact you had such a long happy life,

Your vibrance, love and legacy will always be felt and will keep carrying on,

We love you always baby boy,
Be at peace our sweet Butters 💕

Last month, our beehive was incredibly healthy. Two brood boxes of healthy frames and combs. A happy and healthy hive getting ready for winter.
No hive beetles, no ants, healthy bees.

Today, I found a dead hive in its place...
Wax moths...
I quit doing weekly checks due to how healthy the hive was.
Please, if you keep bees in Oklahoma, take heed... the wax moths are a serious problem right now. I know it's cooling off, but I can't help from thinking that I could have saved my bees if I had continued my weekly checks.
Now I will have to potentially burn my dead hive and start from scratch next year...

Please, protect our pollinators... they are more vulnerable than you think...

It's a sad day at Honey Hop... We haven't even had a chance to share the footage of the new babies as Bae Bae had a new litter just two days ago. We made sure all hutches were secure last night but somehow Bae Bae's hutch lost part of its siding in the high wind and we found the kits cold and waterlogged this morning... we did our best to resuscitate but last all 4 of her babies... 😢 luckily all the other mamas and kits were dry and fine, but keep little Bae Bae in good thoughts today... she is our best mama and did not deserve to lose her kits...
