The next giveaway at the Spencer-Van Etten Food Cupboard is this Thursday (December 14th) from 9:00am-10:30am. The “pre-Christmas” giveaway is one of their biggest each year so please be patient as they work around the new parking lot situation that will slow things down. Everyone will eventually be served. You can go inside to shop (please bring bags or boxes) or use the drive-thru to have everything loaded directly into your vehicle. Please know that the drive-thru line will move MUCH more quickly than the “shopping inside” line. Regardless of how you choose to receive your food though, there’s no need to preregister. The doors open at 9am tomorrow (Friday, October 20th) at 591 Candor Road (NOT the Spencer Library). There are thousands of items to choose from and hundreds (if not thousands!) of free things too. Everything is organized to help you find what you’re looking for. Pick the price you want to pay as ALL donations are appreciated. Sorry though - cash or check only.

The Spencer Library Book Sale starts this Friday. I’ll post photos tomorrow when things are finally all set up and ready to go. There are THOUSANDS of items to choose from…books, DVDs, puzzles, etc. and it’s all organized to make your search easier. It’s a donation sale so you can pay whatever your budget allows. As always, there will also be HUNDREDS of free items in the gazebo.
