Alis kicked off kidding season in the bitter cold late last night with triplets. After a difficult delivery due to a sideways kid blocking the exit (of course it was the largest buck 🙄) we have three healthy babies (1D, 2B) and Mom is doing amazing as well. Lucas woke up and helped me get everyone warm and dry. All have full bellies and now I'm going to sleep!

Poor Techo Tangerine has a dislocated shoulder. She will be in this splint for 2 weeks and then reassess.

Our first herd sire, Woods River Irish Shamus, went to his new home today in Illinois. I hope he gives his new owner as many wonderful kids as he has given us! We are looking forward to using our younger bucks more heavily this fall and they will be breeding several of Shamus' daughters.

3yo, 2F Purebred Nubian doe in milk. Has kidded unassisted both times, last year with triplets, this year with quads. Easily earned her milk star last year (pending ADGA) and is on test again this year. Her test earlier this month she gave 12.3 lbs. Clean tested herd, G6S N/N. Located in Spencer, IN. Preference will be given to herds involved in DHIR.

Kidding season of 2025 is complete! We had 9 does kid with a total of 27 babies (17D, 10B). We lost one kid due to a heart defect, but everyone else is happy and healthy. I'm so blessed to raise this beautiful herd! I have bucklings and a doeling still looking for new homes.
