Looking for a sheepskin? Visit the LocalFiber pop-up shop at 115 S. Cayuga St Ithaca NY. Open today 11am-6pm.
Blue Spoon Farm sheepskins are produced from the hides of animals sacrificed for meat, as well as those from other local farms who rejected the opportunity to use the whole animal. (Yes, I pulled hides out of dumpsters at butcher shops.)

Keep a sheepskin in your car to ensure that you are prepared in the event of a breakdown. Having grown up in Buffalo, NY, I know the value of a car blanket. A sheepskin is a step up.

Hides are processed by Bucks county Furs in PA. They are considered washable but be very careful if you do decide to warn one. Follow the instructions carefully.
