Jones Dairy LOVED providing calves for the Beef Buddies- Dickinson County program this summer! Beef Buddies is an educational program for K-3rd grade youth to learn about the care & management of a calf project for show at the Dickinson County Fair. Through this non-competitive experience, youth learn and develop the skills of decision-making, record keeping, responsibility, communication, and self-confidence.🗣

➡️The youth got to pick their calf out and name it. Many youth took their calf home to their place for the summer while several housed their calves at Jones Dairy. The kids had a blast caring for their Beef Buddy and showing them at the fair!

We are proud to produce milk every day for one of America’s favorite foods! Our milk gets delivered to a processing plant in Minnesota where it is made into cheese.🧀

School tour season has officially begun!🚌

Emmetsburg Catholic School brought out their kindergarten and preschool classes where they had fun scooping up feed for the cows, feeding bottles to the calves, hand milking a cow, petting day-old calves, and watching the cows get milked!🧀

A Family Literacy Program

Bring your family to Jones Dairy for a morning of reading, play, music, and crafts on the farm! 🌾 This hands‑on, family‑friendly event celebrates the joy of reading while giving kids a fun, up‑close look at life on a dairy farm.

This special event is made possible through the collaboration of many community partners who care deeply about literacy, agriculture, and family learning.

📚 Last year, over 200 visitors joined in—and the cows and calves loved being read to!
