While most people are still finishing their morning coffee, harvest is already underway over here. Chris was deep in the strawberry patch by 6:30 a.m.! 🍓☕️

The harvest bins are being filled with fresh greens, strawberries, leeks, carrots, peas, herbs and some extra-pretty cauliflower. Every crop reaches readiness on its own schedule.. which means no two harvest days ever look the same.

There are lots of long days ahead, but this is such a rewarding time of year when we finally begin to see the results of months of planning, planting and tending 🥬

Sweetest thing on the farm right now 🐖✨

Two of our sows welcomed 17 piglets into the world this month.. piled into straw, warm, full, and already causing a little mischief 🙃

They’ll hang out in the barn for now until they’re big enough to stop slipping through pasture fence gaps. And we’re not done yet.. three more gilts still to farrow 🐷

Fun farm fact: a pig’s gestation is 3 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days - a classic livestock memory trick, and it’s pretty spot on every time 🎯

We’re so excited to gather again at the farm for our Intermediate Beekeeping Workshop and this time, we’re going inside 🐝

Alongside Lisa of , you’ll step into a live colony.. lifting frames, reading the rhythm of the hive, and learning what your bees are actually telling you.

This is where things start to click: how to move calmly, what to look for, when to act and when to let the bees be.

Whether you joined us this winter or you’re simply ready to move from learning to doing, this workshop is designed to build real confidence in the hive.

The herd is still gathered at the feeder for now, but they know what’s coming. Early spring grass is just around the corner! 🌱🐄

That first green flush after winter is the most nutrient dense pasture of the entire year.. packed with protein, minerals, and fresh energy after months of dormant fields. It won’t be long before they trade the feeder for fresh pasture 🙌🌤️

One of the wildest things about our little corner of the world is that we actually grow fruiting bananas right here in our tropical greenhouse!🍌

A banana plant takes about 18 months to produce its first bunch, and once it fruits, its job is complete and the plant gets cut down to make room for the next generation.

And the flavor is unreal! When bananas are able to ripen naturally on the plant, it’s a totally different experience. You know how store-bought tomatoes just don’t compare to garden tomatoes? Same idea.. but with bananas 💛🌿

Truly one of the sweetest treats on our farm!

Winter doesn’t slow much around here ❄️ The team is out in the snow every day, tending livestock, hauling feed, and keeping the farm moving no matter what the weather looks like.

And with today being both Kayleigh’s birthday and the Lunar New Year, it feels right to give her some love! She shows up steady, coffee in hand, ready for whatever the day brings. Grateful for her and for every set of hands that keeps this place going while we wait for spring to round the corner 🌷

The farm has been overtaken by lambs! 🐑
Over 100 healthy little newcomers have joined the flock, bringing maximum mischief, zero personal space, and an endless supply of cuteness. Full bellies, busy mamas, and tiny hooves absolutely everywhere.

We’re deep in lamb season and loving every chaotic (yet super fun) minute of it 🤎

Pregnant & glowing in a circle of friends ✨ This December pasture and soft solar shade are fantastic, but soon our flock moves to the winter barn for cozy lambing and warmth until spring 🌸
