Meet 𝐏𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐨, the newest (and fluffiest) member of our farm family! 🦙 His official job? Guardian of the sheep as they graze beneath solar panels here in upstate New York.

Solar grazing is part of our regenerative approach.. sheep maintain the vegetation around the panels naturally, reducing the need for mowing, fuel, and chemicals. Now, with Pablo on duty, they’ve got an extra layer of protection.

To our knowledge, Pablo is the very first llama in Upstate tasked with protecting a solar grazing flock and he’s taking the role seriously, with plenty of personality to spare.

We’re excited to have him on the team as we continue blending clean energy, healthy land, & happy animals 💚☀️🐑

Meet the new crew! 🐑 150 hair sheep (with the sweetest lambs tucked in) traveled up from Kentucky to join us on the farm. They’re the start of our solar grazing team.. moving across the land to naturally manage vegetation, build soil health, and partner with the sun in a truly regenerative way ☀️🌱

☀️ 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤’𝐬 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: ☀️
🐑 We’re close to finalizing contracts that will bring us into solar grazing! Plans are underway to move sheep to the farm – and there may even be a surprise lamb joining! Along with the sheep we are hoping to welcome a llama to the family to help protect our newest additions 🌾

🫜Meanwhile, fall crops are going in as we kick off our big seasonal flip. It’s a busy push: clearing out beds, adding amendments, and planting a variety of veggies – many of which should keep producing well into the winter months 🥦

🗞️ The farm is buzzing with seasonal shifts!

Our chicks are now three weeks old and have officially graduated from the brooder to pasture life 🐥🌱 We just harvested our first batch of honey for the year — always a sweet reward! 🍯

As summer winds down, we’re gearing up for fall: hearty crops are ready to be planted, and our production greenhouse will soon be flipped and prepped for winter (which will be here before we know it!) ❄️🌿
