Confession Time: Remember when I said I wasn't growing flowers this year? Well, as seen in the photographic evidence, I lied. What I really meant was I'm not growing flowers OUTSIDE.

Imagine my surprise when I walked into the dimly lit utility room in the basement to find this beautiful dahlia bloom growing out of a TRASH CAN?!?! 🤣

These diva flowers that require digging up their tubers in our cold climate and then storing at just the perfect temp and humidity lest they mold, rot, or shrivel up, apparently want to be discarded into the trash way back in May, forgotten about, no fertilizer or watering, just a dark and quiet basement. Not just growing but BLOOMING! No Japanese beetles or tarnish bugs here!

So lesson of the day: plants really do just want to grow and have a built-in will to survive. Sometimes we just overcomplicate it.

For the dahlia lovers out there, this is a Blackberry Ice bloom.

**Please note:** While we can fix the bus, we unfortunately **can't fix you**, so a "Kiss Cam" (or any other "Trouble"-making additions) is definitely not included. We're all about good vibes and great pictures, not emotional therapy!
