MT Farms was established in 2016 with the goal of providing farm fresh food to our community by Tom and Megan Brockett. Our farming method is “old school” in ways in which you may have seen your grandparents or great grandparents farm. We believe that animals should be treated with respect and should have access to grass and fresh air. We do not believe in the use of growth hormones or antibiotics

as preventative care. Antibiotics will only be used to treat sick animals when natural methods are not successful. This farm was started because we have a passion for animals and fresh “farm to table” style food. We currently offer whole broiler chickens and brown eggs from our flock of free range chickens. The pigs live on pasture so have the option to eat from a feeder or forage around the pasture. We utilize rotational grazing to keep them on fresh grass.

We always show you the good and the bad. The good news is there are still great people in this world. The bad news, the new to me truck blew up and cost us 10k.

I broke down hauling hogs this earlier this month in Olds, Iowa. I called Bud’s Custom Meats to tell them I would have to reschedule my appointment. Trey said we have a customer that lives around there let me call him. 20 minutes later this gentlemen shows up with a trailer at 6:30 in the morning. We transferred my hogs to his trailer. He refused to take anything from me and then delivered my hogs to Bud's. They don't make many people like that anymore. Thank you Terry and Trey for making my day a lot less worse.

Our daughter Neva decided she wants to have a flock of sheep after showing bottle lambs at fair the last 2 years. With the help of her Uncle Andy she just finished her first lambing season. She had two lambs bred and they both had twins! Unfortunately one didn't make it and the other mom stepped on one and broke it's leg. Neva has new 3 babies to add to her flock.

Neva was asked to provide her 4H sheep for a live nativity scene at Parkside Church in Burlington. When we showed up they asked her if she wanted to dress up. Needless to say she did a great job.

Just wanted to share some photos from the farm today. We have multiple litters of piglets right now. We were making sure everyone had fresh bedding, and the cows had hay for the cold weather coming this week.
