Tipsy Barn Farms, LLC What can I say? I bought a farm. I’d hate to see it go to waste. Year five and still standing.

Crystal Swany is Looking for more free items or building materials;

I am in need of a spiral staircase, or fire escape staircase, or enough stair stringers to build stairs to my hay loft.

Ill take any deck or dock boards - prefer 4’-10’ lengths in decent shape.

This is my 2026 photography pricing. To continue building a life and business I can sustain, my rates have been adjusted.

For my returning clients — I’ll be offering a loyalty rate. The best stories are the ones we cultivate over time, and I’m grateful to keep capturing yours as it grows and changes.

Taking appointments on weekends and evenings. Will consider photography for small events & gatherings - and can provide pricing upon request.

We are getting several areas revamped around the Tipsy Barn Farms, LLC for photography opportunities.

Sincerely,
Crystal Swany

I wanted to share this video because it really highlights something most people don’t see — how hard it is for small family farms to survive, let alone grow.

We try to compete with Walmart, and many times we’re at their price point or even below. But this last season, with crop loss and weather impacts, we simply couldn’t compete with corporate pricing. When margins are already razor thin, one bad year makes it nearly impossible to generate enough capital to reinvest without overextending the farm through financing.

Food security is something many people miss in this conversation. Fresh, local produce doesn’t just appear — it takes risk, infrastructure, labor, and long-term investment. When corporate giants dominate commodities and processing, it pushes small producers into tighter and tighter corners.

I have a degree in manufacturing management with an emphasis in food plant engineering, and my goal is to grow our farm in ways that add capability — including food processing — so we can build stronger local food systems and real resilience.

It’s not just about farming. It’s about community, sustainability, and protecting access to fresh food.

This video explains it well — worth the watch. 🌱
