Hi friends, fans and honey lovers. Going to give this a try, but some posts are sure harder to write than others. We imagine you have been wondering why our usual shelves are bare….
Those little bees tried their best, like they always do, but 2026 was not an easy year (understatement-it was catastrophic) for beekeepers. We were no exception. Unfortunately, this means there isn’t any way we can supply our stores as usual this year.
That said, we never have expected this journey to be simple or easy. Over the years we have faced an interesting and eclectic mix of pitfalls, including- but not limited to- bee illness, bears, storms and even a couple of varieties of honey pirates. Beekeeping is always interesting and consistently unpredictable.
We do have a plan going forward. Next year we will be trying some natural tricks and strategies to strengthen the hives, so they can better withstand all the challenges they face. We will keep you posted. Hopefully with much happier updates.
To say we appreciate all our loyal customers and wonderful stores is another understatement. Joe Bee Honey has such amazing devotees! We thank you, each and every one, for your amazing support all these years, and we are so sorry (another understatement) that we don’t have honey for all of you. If there was any way at all….
