We are working long hours this week getting everything ready for the Cottage Crawl on Saturday. Between baking, prepping, and getting the farm stand stocked, it’s been full speed ahead.

But I think it’s important to share a reminder: the farm stand is only one part of Rocking M Farm and Dairy.

Behind every baked good, jar, and product we sell is an actual working farm. We have animals that depend on us every single day, breeding schedules to maintain, daily chores to complete, and responsibilities that don’t pause when life gets busy.

Today was breeding day for our rabbits. I’m not confident our first round was successful, which means finding additional time this week to try again. That’s just one example of the work happening behind the scenes while we prepare for Saturday.

We love creating products for our farm stand and connecting with our community, but those things exist alongside the daily work of caring for our animals and maintaining our farm. The farm stand may be what you see, but it isn’t all that we are.

Rocking M is a farm first. The animals, their care, and the responsibilities that come with raising them will always take priority. The baking, the products, and the events are an extension of what we do here, not the entirety of it.

This week may be full of long hours and extra work, but that’s the reality of building a farm and a business at the same time. And we wouldn’t want people to see only one side of what we’re building here. ❤️

Something you may not know about me is I train my dogs to enjoy biting people and protecting what’s mine.

Two things I do not play about:

1. My animals
2. My business

When I went to close the farm stand at 32732 N 5th Ave, I found the doors already closed and tied shut but nothing was stolen. The hours of our stands are posted on almost every social media post across all platforms. I STAND BY THESE HOURS.

If you see the doors shut before closing time, do not hesitate to open them and get your goodies! (I also would appreciate a message lol)

To whomever did this, repeat offenders will be met with vitamin lead and 42 teeth 🤫
