Vets on the Farm Veterans are ready for a new mission and a way to transition back into civilian life and career. Havana St. Spokane, WA 99202

*Mission-
To provide Veterans of our community an opportunity to combine their military service and skills with an education in conservation which will lead to agricultural based employment.

*Goal One- Education
Provide Vets an opportunity to explore agriculturally based employment by offering programs and curriculum through WSU Extension and Spokane Community Colleges. Levels of completion will be available and include course certification up to an Associate's degree.

*Goal Two- Partnership
Vets will be able to explore partnerships and internships on local farms and other agriculturally based business opportunities.

*Goal Three- Employment
Vets will be equipped to engage in employment with a new mission and sense of purpose. Areas of concentration will include small scale production agriculture, livestock management, equipment maintenence, custom farm work, ect.

The Final FrEsH ShEeT is Coming!

Well, friends, Mother Nature has spoken!
Wednesday, October 14, will be our FINAL on-site Farm Stand of the 2026 growing season!
And we are going out with some GOOD STUFF!

Fresh LETTUCE & SPINACH!
End of Season DISCOUNTS on cucumbers, sweet peppers, tomatoes, and corn on the cob!

Our hot peppers are officially finished for the season, BUT we have some delicious news!
You can still enjoy the heat from our peppers in Elixir Hot Sauce! We will have some of their sauces available at the Farm Stand, and you can find Elixir Hot Sauce at retailers throughout Spokane, Spokane Valley and the PNW!

Spokane Conservation District invites you to this year's Farm & Food Symposium!
November 16–18, 2026
Mirabeau Park Hotel & Convention Center
Spokane Valley, Washington

Farmers, ranchers, researchers, educators, conservation leaders, food entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, and community partners from across the Inland Northwest will gather to explore what comes next for agriculture and our regional food systems.

The Washington Department of Veterans Affairs is recruiting passionate, committed women Veterans to serve on the Women Veterans Advisory Committee (WVAC).

They are especially seeking representation from:
Spokane
Pullman
Walla Walla
Pacific County
Whatcom County

WVAC members help ensure women Veterans have equitable access to the benefits, services, and community support they earned. Members advise WDVA leadership, elevate issues affecting women Veterans, support outreach and events, and help shape programs that reflect the experiences of women who served.
Your voice matters. Your experience matters. Your leadership matters. Your representation matters.
