Big news and a little farm update. 🌱

I’ve recently started a new job as the Director of Communications and Engagement at Inland Northwest Land Conservancy! It’s an amazing opportunity to help protect the lands and waters that make this region so special.

With that shift, I won’t be actively managing Dragonfly Urban Farm. I’m still growing, just on a much smaller scale for friends, family, and the joy of getting my hands in the dirt.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported the farm over the years. Your support has meant the world to me. It’s been such a gift to grow food, flowers, and community with you. Thank you to the Spokane Farm Corridors, Spokane Conservation District, and the Liberty Lake Farmers' Market for your support!

What I've learned about the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy in the short time I've been there is just how remarkable the impact of their work is on our community.

Happy Spring! The weather is coming through and we’re celebrating here with some spring flowers popping up. We’re also working on our small plot with projects this summer and we won’t be at the farmers market. We’ll miss seeing you on Saturdays, but we’re also excited to get some things done. Hi friends! Saturday (tomorrow!) will be our last farmers market of the season at the Liberty Lake Farmers' Market. Come early - we’ll only have a few bouquets, microgreens, tomatoes, Spanish pole beans (musica), spring onion, and carrots!

Thanks for supporting us today at Liberty Lake Farmers' Market - it was incredibly smoky from the fires - and thinking of everyone who had to evacuate and hoping you are safe. 😔 After the market we made a bouquet from our flowers in an old pickle jar. Tip: cut your stems so they fit the right height of your jar or vase. If your sunflower leaves get droopy due to stress or heat, cut them off. Make sure no leaves touch the water, and change the water every few days.
