We are proud parents of a beautiful 8-year-old girl, Yuri is a tug boat captain on the Great Lakes, I am a dental hygienist in Spooner, and now.. we are also excited Christmas tree farmers!!! My husband, Yuri, is native to Shell Lake and I was born and raised in Eau Claire, WI. We bought a 20-acre farm in Sarona in the fall of 2014 and have been busy restoring the farmhouse in our spare time. My h
usband has always wanted to do some type of farming and when we sat down to brainstorm what to do with our land, we quickly agreed on Christmas trees! I grew up going to a cut-your-own tree farm each year and have many fond memories from doing so. I am so eager to provide that for families in the surrounding areas!! We will be planting our first acre of Christmas trees in the spring of 2016 - grow little seedlings, grow! Since our local trees will take about 10 years to reach the desired height, we bought an existing Christmas tree plantation in Argonne, WI that has been cared for by the same owner for the last 21 years! He has been a wealth of knowledge for us and is happy that we will be continuing his tradition. So for now, we will be harvesting those trees, hauling them home, and doing a pre-cut tree lot for the next several years while ours grow in Sarona. We are so excited to meet all of you and your families and hope to create a long-standing relationship over the years!!
