Just got back from the processor with close to 200lbs of Homegrown pork. Not to mention over 50lbs of it we had made into chorizo.... 😋

Home grown 🌿

Nutrition is super important for hens as it is for us. In order to support the girls laying, it's important to feed the hens a quality mix. Supplemented by grit on demand, garden scraps and free range foraging is what we've done for our flock over the years.

Buying eggs that you know the hen was not fed toxic pesticides, herbicides, hormones or antibiotics should matter. We've found that non gmo soy free has been the nutritious and wholesome. Super happy to know that our girls are getting the best quality feed while ensuring that the eggs they produce are filled with all the good stuff.

We love that they supply us with such a rainbow of eggs, but we still don't know who gives us which color😅 it's always a guessing game

😍 New chickens = new colors of eggs

Our flock was decimated by a fox this year. But God came through! 🙏 We've found multiple people who were giving chickens away which diversified our flock. Now we get so many different colors of eggs!

Happy Tuesday. Big moves on the homestead! We'll be weaning bagel from the bottle this week!! Big boy is almost 4 months old💙 His pasture in the backyard will be set up over the next month and half. Can't believe we've had him since he was only a week old baby!
