Big weekend ahead.

SATURDAY! Smashed Life Food Truck is here 12–8 p.m. Come hungry.

SUNDAY! Bring Pop out for Father’s Day. We’ll have Cousins Maine Lobster - Virginia and Martina's Cantina on-site, mimosas all day, and Whiskey Tango-6 jamming live 2–5:00 p.m. All canned to-go beer will be 25% off, so stock up on a case of farmhouse ale (growlers not included).

Beer, wine, lobster, tacos, live music, and a father-focused day on the hill. That ought to do it.

Here in Spotsylvania County, the past has a way of feeling near. You can see it in the roads, fields, and old places around us.

That connection is at the heart of Virginia By The Glass, a new speaker series rooted in local history. This summer, we’re welcoming historians, authors, educators, and storytellers to the farm for relaxed evenings of storytelling and conversation.

Free and open to the public, the series helps mark America’s 250th through the people, places, and events that shaped this region.

Full lineup coming soon.

A toast to independence every hour sounds like our kind of history lesson.

We're honored to join Washington Heritage Museums on July 3 at the historic Rising Sun Tavern as Fredericksburg begins celebrating America's 250th birthday.

We hope you'll join us.

We're just about a month away from America's 250th birthday! Be sure to join Washington Heritage Museums at one or more of these exciting events. Kick off the festivities on July 3rd with a family-friendly day at the historic Rising Sun Tavern with beer and wine tastings, tavern tours and a toast to independence every hour.

On July 4th, relive the spirit of 1776 with a public reading of the Declaration of Independence on the steps of the Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop. Then, make sure to mark your calendars for a spectacular celebration at Ferry Farm, George Washington's boyhood home. This year, we're thrilled to be part of the festivities with American Revolution spy activities. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
