Shields Demesne Winery We use grapes & honey to make a natural wine called Melomel. This is a special style of wine kind of like port or sherry yet distinctly unique.

Great for anyone who wants to try something different yet delicious. Our Melomel is based upon a Hungarian recipe that employs old-fashioned European methods of winemaking. The fruit juice and honey are mixed and aged in Bourbon whiskey barrels for at least 2 years while no sulfites or other chemical agents are added or used whatsoever. The finished wine has a strong profile in both taste and smel
