Ironically, we actually had this week off. Like… OFF off. No deliveries, no traveling, nowhere we had to be. Apparently Mother Nature took that personally. 🙄🔥

The Wrights Spring Fire started on 8/5 while we were on our way home from our last delivery, because apparently we needed one last little adventure before our “week off” officially began.

At this point, wildfire season feels like an annual tradition we definitely did not sign up for.

We’re good for now, thankfully, but two of our main roads into town are closed, and the fire has grown to over 33,000 acres.

So instead of enjoying a relaxing week at home, we’re watching fire maps, checking road closures, and calculating which direction we can still escape civilization from. 😂

Well… this one turned out pretty darn cute if we do say so ourselves! 😍🐔

This custom build features a 4’x4’ coop, a 4’x4’ storage room, total build 4x8, a spacious 5’x8’ covered run, plus a cupola and flower boxes because chickens deserve curb appeal too. 🌸

Now all it needs is a flock of spoiled hens who don’t appreciate how much work went into building their dream home. 😂

I don’t know if we’re just getting older or if these coops are gaining weight every year… but holy cow, this one took two days longer than we planned. 😅

By the end there may have been a little crying. (The coops were fine… it was the builders.)

We’re home for exactly one day before hitting the road again Monday because apparently that’s what “being your own boss” means—working every hour of every day. 🤷‍♀️

The only silver lining? We get to leave behind the hotel room with the giant mirror over the bed. 😂 Pretty sure that place charged by the hour in 1897.

Thanks to all of our amazing customers for keeping us this busy. We truly appreciate every single one of you—even if our backs are filing complaints.

Wow! What a whirlwind the last few weeks have been! ❤️

We welcomed our first grandchildren into the world—two grandbabies in just six weeks! Needless to say, life has been a little chaotic, and we’ve fallen a bit behind on deliveries.

But we’re getting caught up, and yesterday we delivered this beautiful custom chicken coop and duck house to its new home in Bend, Oregon!

Thank you to all of our amazing customers for your patience and support as we soak up this special season with our growing family. 🐥👶
