BOOM!!! A&R 2026 RANCH HORSE SHOW #1 A BIG SUCCESS!
Wow, what a great Ranch Horse Show today in Spring Branch! All projections, including target registrations, budget numbers and duration time (0800-1300) were spot on, and a safe, great time was had by all. Super nice people, new friendships formed in a fun, drama-free, affordable family environment. Thank the Lord, it was a huge hit.
One of the crowd favorites in today's show was horsewoman Jessica French's sweep of several first-place blue ribbons, PLUS winner of the beautiful rosette Highpoint award in her division. This would be a coveted goal of any aspiring champion; however, in Jessica's case, she is completely BLIND.
A determined Jessica and her riding instructor, Amber Parr of A&R Horsecare in Spring Branch, developed a clever, show-permissible way to use sound cues (like handclaps or metronomes) from inside the riding arena to indicate pattern obstacle locations, distances, and directional guidance while skillfully riding under saddle at all gates. This ability, combined with her natural riding gifts, renders Jessica virtually undistinguishable from sighted competitors performing the same complex performance sequences. As a member of our A&R Angels Performance Team, we know Jessica will inspire people everywhere we show the "ponies" in our great state and beyond. Watch for our upcoming show dates and locations.
