Today I set a record for making salsa with 108 jars processed. This is our habanero-orange heirloom tomato salsa made with orange colored heirloom tomatoes, a blend of peppers, herbs and a dash of orange. Spicy, sweet, earthy, citrusy. Get some this coming weekend at the Lamoille Farmer's Market at the Old Lamoille Schoolhouse from 8 am to noon. The event is combined with the harvest festival benefiting the Lamoille Presbyterian Church, so there will be talented craft vendors inside the building, while the hardworking market vendors will be outside. Plus food, live music and the kind of fresh air that only exists in Lamoille, Nevada.

Tomatoes and peppers are in full swing at Four Stones Farm. We like the colorful heirloom tomatoes like amana orange and pink Berkellry tie dye. And our Anaheim, bell and jalapeño peppers have taken off this year. Love these for our zesty orange salsa and to offer fresh at the Lamoille Farmer's Market this Saturday, Sept. 5 from 8 am to 12 pm.
