Good morning!
Haven't posted in a while and I apologize but want to update yall on Ivy's babies Lemon and Pepper. Last week Lemon went to my pops farm cause we really didn't want a second rooster and he was also beating up poor Pepper. But he is very happy and living his best life there. I will continue to update everyone with him as he grows. Pepper is very shy hoping he/she will come around. Pepper is harder to tell what gender because of being solid black. Hopefully in a few months we will figure it out. Lemon is the multi color and ofcourse Pepper is the black one.

Good evening my Woodland Acre followers!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!! Wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing!! Things are going well over here, Ivy and the little chicken nuggets are doing well! We have decided to give the 2 babies nick names since we are not sure if they are hens or roosters yet! The little yellow one who is now slowly turning brown at the moment is lemon and the little black one is pepper. Names might stick as they age or not, not sure yet!

Good evening, we would like to introduce our two Amberlink Hens this is Reba and Dolly. They are about over a year old, we got them January when buying a chicken coop apparently the rest of thier flocks got attacked by neighbors dogs and they didn't want it to happen again so we took them. They lay large brown eggs, very food motivated with anything, they enjoy tearing up my flower beds but are extremely easy to just walk up and be picked up. They have alot of personality and definitely run this roost!!

Haven't posted in a few days. Had some excitement around here!! Today we would like to introduce Miss. Ivy, Ivy is less than a year old Easter Egger. Ivy lays light blue eggs and has fluffy cheeks. Miss Ivy is the sweetest little chicken who loves snuggles, to be hand fed snacks and run around with the dogs. Miss Ivy has also just Monday hatched 2 babies that she doesn't know she adopted!! Momma and babies are doing good, she might be young but she is adapting really well to motherhood! Please welcome Ivy and her two little nuggets!!

This evening we would like to introduce the only male chicken at the Woodland Acre Farm, Kung Pow. Kung Pow is over a year old Buff Orpington Rooster, he is Hazel and Violet's protector. Kung Pow loves to crow as early as he can to compete with the rooster down the street. He enjoys getting treats and strutting around with his women.

Let's start off with introducing some of our chickens. Let's start with the two oldest ladies we have Hazel (left) and Violet (right). These ladies are the last 2 from our first 6, they are 4 year old Isa Brown also known as Golden Comets. They enjoy snacking on cantaloupe, watermelon, dried mealworms and thier evening strolls through the woods. They used to be extremely heavy brown egg layers but with thier age one has stopped and the other lays every once in a while, then eats it unfortunately. Once egg eating starts its extremely hard to break, if anyone has any tips please let me know. Thank you ill post another tomorrow. Have a great evening.!!
