Gardner Family Farm

Nature is beautiful :) While it doesn't happen often, some hens will hide their nests from us long enough to hatch a brood of chicks. This lady had 5 little fluff-balls pip their way out yesterday morning!

Another great product added to our selection of in-season and local: pasture-raised eggs from Gardner Family Farm of Spring Grove, MN. 🥚🌱🌞

They are a trusted source for flavorful and nutritious meats and are a familiar face at the Winona Farmers Market. Now, in addition to their pasture-raised chicken breast, wings and thighs, you can also get their beautiful farm fresh eggs at the Co-op too!

This is what pasture raised should look like.

The pasture-raised difference. At 2 weeks old, these chicks are old enough to enjoy their first bites of pasture and insects. Over the next 6 weeks they'll be moved daily, absorbing as much sunlight, fresh air, forage and feed as possible resulting in a meat with flavor you can't resist. Spread the word!! Pasture-raised chicken and eggs are now available any day of the week at Black & Sons Butcher Co. !!

We have tree chickens, lol! These two flew coop and picked the most unique roosting area. Interestingly, if chickens lived in the wild, this is actually how they would avoid predators but it's unfortunately not cost effective or practical to let all 700 of our girls live this way 😁

Evening lambpede!!! The lamb zoomies got intense after last week's rain showers. This may be my favorite part of the spring.

Frank & Julia’s Grocer+Deli is all about quality and flavor and we're thrilled to announce that they are now stocking our chicken and eggs!! Be sure to stop in and support this incredible local business.

So fun to share our farm on KTTC's Midwest Access yesterday!! Come check us out at the Rochester Farmers Markets this Saturday from 7:30am - 12pm!!

They are serving up the best poultry and eggs at a Farmers Market near you! Take a trip to the Gardner Family Farm in Spring Grove to find out what makes their food better.
