⚜️ What a summer for Troop 94B & Troop 94G! ⚜️

We wrapped up an incredible summer of Scouting with our End-of-Summer Court of Honor, celebrating the hard work, adventure, leadership, and achievements of our Scouts.

🧭 We kicked off the evening by swearing in our new youth leaders, as they accepted the responsibility of leading their fellow Scouts and helping guide the Troops through the adventures ahead. In Scouting, leadership isn't just a position, it's an opportunity to serve.

🏅 More than 140 Merit Badges earned!
⚜️ 10 Rank Advancements!
🦅 Eagle Palms earned!
🏕️ Gold Devices for the National Outdoor Awards, recognizing even more nights spent camping and adventuring outdoors!
👧👦 Den Chief Cords, recognizing Scouts serving and leading our younger Cub Scouts!
📣 Recruiter Strips, earned by Scouts who helped bring new members into the Scouting family!

Those numbers represent much more than patches, pins, and badges. They represent hundreds of hours of learning, camping, serving, leading, teaching, trying new things, and sticking with challenges until the job was done.

Every Merit Badge tells a story. Every rank represents growth. Every night under the stars builds confidence, friendships, and memories that will last long after the tents are packed away.

Congratulations to all the Scouts of Troop 94B & Troop 94G on an outstanding summer, and thank you to the adult leaders, Merit Badge Counselors, families, and volunteers who helped make these opportunities possible.

The summer may be ending, but the adventure certainly isn't.

Onward to the next trail! 🥾🏕️🔥⚜️

🦅 Congratulations to Dakota for completing his Eagle Scout service project at SWIFT Robotics! 🦅

SWIFT Robotics is a nonprofit in Vass, NC that supports STEM education and provides robotics opportunities for local youth.

For his Eagle Project, Dakota planned, organized, fundraised, and led volunteers through several improvements to the property. He raised the funds needed for a new storage shed, built a ramp to make it easier to move mowers and equipment in and out of the shed, installed shelving, and added a rack for hanging and organizing garden tools.

Dakota and his team also completed conservation work around the property, helping improve and care for the grounds for years to come.

An Eagle Project is about much more than what gets built. It is an opportunity for a Scout to demonstrate leadership, planning, responsibility, and service to others while bringing together a team to accomplish something that will have a lasting impact.

Congratulations, Dakota, on a job well done, and thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported him in making this project possible!

⚜️ Leadership through service. 🦅

🏕️ A great weekend of Scouting at Camp McNeill! ⚜️

Troops 94B and 94G enjoyed a weekend at Camp McNeill and welcomed Pack 757’s Arrows of Light to join the adventure!

Scouts braved the humidity, bugs, and rain while practicing pocketknife carving, map reading and orienteering, field-expedient water filtration, fire building, first aid, and rank requirements.

There was plenty of classic camp life too, including cooking meals, Dutch oven desserts, and a campfire filled with songs and fellowship. 🔥🎶

A big thank-you to Pack 757’s AOL Scouts for joining us and getting a taste of troop life!

Be Prepared. Get outdoors. Have an adventure! ⚜️🏕️

🏕️ Troop 94 Adventure at Camp Rockfish! 🧭🔥

Troop 94 had an awesome weekend at Camp Rockfish, packed with adventure, teamwork, and plenty of opportunities to practice Scout skills!

Our Scouts tackled the Low COPE group challenge course, working together, communicating, solving problems, and learning that a patrol can accomplish much more when everyone contributes. 💪

We also spent time sharpening our orienteering skills, learning about backpacking stoves, and putting our fire-building abilities to the test by starting fires with wet wood. Nothing like a good challenge to build confidence and resourcefulness!

Of course, no Scout campout would be complete without some good cooking. Each patrol worked together to prepare their meals, and we enjoyed some fantastic Dutch oven cooking along the way. 🍲🥘

We finished things off with an awesome evening campfire, a great way to gather together after a full day of Scouting, fellowship, and adventure. 🔥⚜️

A big BRAVO to the Scouts of Troop 94 for taking on new challenges, working as a team, and continuing to build the skills that make Scouting such a great adventure!

Be Prepared! ⚜️

Congratulations to Troop 94 Eagle Scout and alumnus, and Sea Scout Ship 94 member, Tyler on being selected for the Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow, Tsoiotsi Tsogalii Lodge #70, Old North State Council!

The Vigil Honor is the highest recognition the Order of the Arrow can bestow upon its members for exceptional service, leadership, and unselfish dedication to the Lodge, Council, and the entire Scouting movement. Each year, only a select few Arrowmen are chosen, with no more than two percent of a lodge's membership eligible for selection. At least half of those selected must be youth members under the age of 21. The Vigil Honor is not something that can be earned through personal ambition. Instead, it is bestowed by one's fellow Arrowmen in recognition of distinguished service beyond the responsibilities of any position or office.

Tyler's selection is a reflection of his unwavering commitment to Scouting and cheerful service. He is an active member of Tsoiotsi Tsogalii Lodge #70, serving on the Induction Team, supporting the Ceremonies Team, and volunteering with the Lodge Service Corps at council events such as Cub Family Encampment and Winter Camp.

For the past four summers, Tyler has been a dedicated member of Cherokee Scout reservation staff. His enthusiasm and genuine love for Camp Cherokee have made him a familiar face to Scouts and leaders alike. Whether leading energetic campfires, conducting daily flag ceremonies, or simply sharing his excitement for camp, Tyler's spirit and passion have inspired countless Scouts.

Tyler truly exemplifies the Scout Oath and Scout Law through his leadership, cheerful service, and commitment to others. This recognition is well deserved, and we are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished.

Congratulations, Tyler, on this outstanding honor! Your Troop 94 and Ship 94 families are proud of you, and we look forward to seeing your continued service and leadership in Scouting.

This summer, Scouts from Troops 94B and 94G proudly represented our troop by serving on the Camp Cherokee staff for 8 weeks of camp!

Seven of our Scouts took on important roles across camp, working in the Dining Hall, Trading Post, First-Year Camper Program, Scoutcraft, Life Science, and the Headquarters Building. Their dedication helped create an unforgettable summer experience for hundreds of Scouts attending camp.

Beyond their daily responsibilities, they also played key roles in flag ceremonies, evening campfires, and twilight programs, demonstrating leadership, service, and Scout spirit from sunrise to lights out.

Serving on camp staff is more than just a summer job-it's an opportunity to develop leadership skills, build lifelong friendships, and give back to the Scouting program that has given so much to them.

We are incredibly proud of these seven Scouts for their hard work, positive attitudes, and commitment to making Camp Cherokee a place where Scouting memories are made. Thank you for representing Troops 94B and 94G with excellence!

Well done, Scouts! Your service has made a lasting impact. ⚜️

🏕️ Troop 94 Summer Camp Adventure at Camp Daniel Boone! 🏔️

What an incredible week our Scouts had at Camp Daniel Boone in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina!

Throughout the week, our Scouts challenged themselves by earning merit badges, learning new skills, and growing in confidence and leadership. Even after long days of activities, they tackled the mountain trails with enthusiasm, hiking up and down the camp each day while taking in the breathtaking scenery.

The fun didn't stop there! The troop enjoyed fishing, memorable campfire ceremonies filled with songs and Scout spirit, and one evening prepared a delicious Dutch oven meal together, followed by everyone's favorite campfire treat - s'mores! 🍽️🔥🍫

Summer camp is about so much more than earning badges. It's about building friendships, developing character, embracing the outdoors, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A big thank you to our dedicated adult leaders, volunteers, and Camp Daniel Boone staff for making this an unforgettable experience. We are so proud of every Scout for their hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to try new things.

Here's to another successful summer camp and many more adventures ahead!

⚡ Congratulations to the Scouts of Troop 94 on earning the Electricity Merit Badge this past month at VFW Post 9103 in Spring Lake!

Throughout the merit badge, our Scouts gained a deeper understanding of how electricity powers our everyday lives. They explored electrical safety, learned the difference between alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC), and discovered how electricity is generated and distributed from power plants to homes and businesses.

The Scouts also identified common electrical hazards, discussed ways to prevent electrical accidents, and learned how to respond safely in the event of an electrical emergency. As part of the badge, they practiced reading electrical meters and wiring diagrams, explored careers in the electrical industry, and completed hands-on activities to better understand electrical circuits and components.

The Electricity Merit Badge challenges Scouts to think critically, work safely, and appreciate the technology that keeps our world running. We are proud of each Scout for their hard work, curiosity, and dedication to learning valuable life skills.

A special thank you to VFW Post 9103 for hosting us and to our merit badge counselor for sharing their knowledge and helping our Scouts successfully complete this important merit badge.

Congratulations, Scouts! Keep learning, exploring, and powering ahead! ⚡⚜️
