We got a little rain. 🌧️ And wind to carry things around. The forecast says we are in for a week of rain so we might as well settle into rainy day routines.

Goats hate water. The sheep not as much (or maybe they are just more motivated to hang out in the grass). The first day or so of rain, they all opted to hang out in the barn and eat hay. By the third day, they were ready to jump through the giant puddles that form on the path to the field in order to eat some of the good green stuff.

They will always follow me anytime I walk back towards the barn though in hopes of a little treat. Their favorite treat currently (better than grain) is a branch pulled off of one of the mulberry trees. I usually try to grab one to leave with them on the way so they aren’t disappointed and continue to follow me.

The rain is a bit much right now, but we needed it. We were in a deficit for the month and year in this area, like many places in the US the last few years, and hopefully this helps.
