The name SNOICE really started off as a joke after owners Jayrell and Dianne watched an episode of Key and Peele. In 2015, SNOICE opened up as a pop-up bar in the corner of Kababayan Bakery, located in San Diego, California. It soon became popular enough that three months after opening, a deal was made to renovate the bakery and build a hole-in-the-wall shop. Since then, SNOICE has been striving t

o serve high-quality, fully customizable interpretations of Taiwanese-inspired shaved snow, Filipino-inspired halo-halo, and the ever-popular milk tea with boba. SNOICE's culture reflects the values of two young parents, who left their careers in New York City's startup world to focus on raising a family. Both lived in households that build small businesses in the restaurant and events industry. Coincidentally, the couple aspired to create a unique environment where their two year-old son, Nathan, would have the opportunity to meet with friends and family, pay tribute to Filipino-American culture, and give back to the same neighborhood and community that his parents grew up in.

did you know we have a whole remote team working behind the scenes at snoice?

we'd love to introduce you to kim! kim works remotely from the philippines and went from ops and admin assistant to running things as our remote ops manager. snoice wouldn’t be the same without her!

we have loved watching her level up and take on new challenges. we’re so lucky to have her leading the way from afar, showing us what true growth looks like.

11 years of snoice 💜🥹

what started back in 2015 as a tiny pop-up inside a local bakery with big dreams, shaved snow, and halo-halo has grown into something bigger than we ever could have imagined. thank you everyone for being such a big part of our journey.

over the last decade-plus, snoice has been a space to celebrate filipino-american culture, share our favorite childhood comfort treats, and watch families and loved ones gather over boba, shaved snow, and sweet memories. whether you’ve been pulling up to the counter since day one or just discovered us recently, you are the reason we’re still here doing what we love.

as we step into this next chapter, the events we cater to have been some of our favorite things to celebrate 🩵 we’re focusing on giving back to the community that raised us and are expanding our school partnerships and fundraising programs. we hope to make it easier than ever for local schools, clubs, and youth organizations to raise funds for their programs while enjoying snoice treats and desserts.

"halo-halo" translates to "mix-mix" in tagalog, a colorful, iconic filipino treat packed with shaved ice, sweet beans, jellies, purple yam, caramel flan, and topped off with a scoop of ube ice cream.

growing up, halo-halo was the ultimate comfort on hot days and a fixture at family gatherings. when we started snoice, bringing an authentic taste of filipino culture to our community through this staple was at the heart of our mission. it’s a sweet reminder of home, heritage, and bringing people together one layer at a time.
