We say it all the time: keep the soil covered. 🌱

Mulch isn’t just for looks. A good organic mulch helps protect the soil from sun and pounding rain, slows moisture loss, suppresses weeds, moderates soil temperature, and creates a better environment for the soil life working underneath.

Bare soil is exposed soil.

Whether we’re using woodchips, straw, shredded leaves, or another clean organic material, we try to keep soil protected whenever possible.

The job isn’t done until the bed is mulched.

What’s your go-to garden mulch?

Our secret weapon? The Row Cloche Kit to extend your growing season well into the cold months! ❄️

It acts like a cozy mini-greenhouse, trapping warmth and shielding tender plants from harsh weather so you can keep harvesting long after other gardens have gone to sleep.
