From Ellie (and her very hardworking hens 🐔🤍) — THANK YOU.
Every carton that you buy helps keep the feed bins full and the egg operation cluckin’.
We’re so grateful for every single customer who supports her little egg hustle.
Truly, y’all make this worth it. 🥚❤️

🎀🐥 Chick Development Inside the Egg 🥚💕

Days 1–2
A tiny chick story begins! 💫 The fertilized egg starts dividing into lots of little cells. Early blood vessels appear to help the baby chick grow strong.

Days 3–7
Big things are happening! 💖 The chick’s heart starts beating, and important organs begin forming. You can start to see the embryo when you candle the egg.

Days 8–14
Hello, baby chick! 🐥 Wings, legs, beak, and eyes keep growing, and soft little feathers begin to form. The chick is starting to look like… well, a chick!

Days 15–18
Growing fast! 🌸 The chick now fills most of the egg and turns into the perfect position to get ready for hatching.

Days 19–21
Almost time! 🎉 The chick uses the last of the yolk for energy, breaks through the inner membrane, cracks the shell, and finally pops out into the world!

💗 Egg-stra Important!
Keeping the eggs warm, cozy, gently turned, and at the right humidity helps baby chicks hatch happy and healthy.

🥚 How to Test Your Farm Fresh Eggs 🥚

Not sure how fresh your eggs are? Try the water test!

Fill a bowl or jar with cold water and gently place your egg inside.

✔️ Sinks and lays flat – Super fresh
✔️ Sinks but stands upright – Still good
❌ Floats – Time to toss it

Fresh eggs sink because they have very little air inside. As they age, the air pocket grows — and that’s what makes them float.

Farm eggs can last a long time when stored properly… but when in doubt, float it out 😉
