This is how we define a pump and dump scheme farming river bottom land, and it's about as far from the Wall Street definition as you could imagine...📈💧📊💦📉
Surface water standing on fields drains into lateral ditches where pumps are waiting to suck the water from the laterals and discharge it into the primary drainage ditches, which then carry it to the river. This process has become way too common and often has to be done mutiple times a year, but it's all part of prepping for planting, protecting our land, and ensuring our fields don't flood so that we have a crop to harvest in the fall.
