Dunstan Chestnut Seedlings are looking good. This year we used a bit larger Pot and different fertilizer timing- And it definitely shows.

We will begin taking orders for Fall Tree Sale in 2 weeks. Varieties available and expected quantity below. Prices will be available when sales Begin. Wholesale prices are for 10 or more of each variety.

- Dunstan Chestnut - 350 Available - 18-24”
- American Persimmon - 50 Available - 6-16”
- Paw Paw - 50 available - 8-16”
- Norway Spruce - 70 available - 18-24”
- Colorado Blue Spruce - 80 available - 14-24”

Spruce are in 1 gallon Jiffy Plantable Containers, some smaller Persimmons are in 1 quart. Chestnuts are in 4x10 tree Pots.

All orders must be picked up at the Fall Tree Sale or the following Week.

2nd year chestnut seedling in ground at 6’. Not all are 6’. But most are 5’ for sure. Still a lot of growing left in this season. We will have a fall Sale this year for our Chestnut seedlings. As well we will have about some paw paw and American Persimmons in small quantities.

We use a couple different tree tubes, but this one is my favorite. It is made by Plantra.

I am Out-planting some Chinese chestnuts today. These are the MIZZOU improved Seed source. Using TreePro tree protectors on these. I still have to follow up with the w**d mat. As I don’t have any cut yet.

Upsizing Norways and Colorado Blue Spruce

First 300 hybrid chestnuts have stratified. Going into tree pots. I try to use about 75% pinebark fines. To 25% of that Promix. But in reality it’s about half a truck bed of pine bark to one bale of compressed Pro-mix.
