Join us as we explore the regional cuisine of Mexico with a pop-up spirits dinner.

Following regional spirits as our muse, we’re pairing local dishes with cocktails from places like Jalisco, Oaxaca, Michoacán and Durango. We love our Tex Mex, but this one is all about venturing past the shredded cheese, sour cream and ground beef with loads of cumin! Mexico has mastered the art of laying flavor from lowly ingredients with patience and local spices. And the spirits are no less elemental! Join us as we discover just how much you can do with cactus and cane.

This week we are featuring this 2022 Henry Natter Sancerre Rouge!

Regularly $42.99 • Mix 6 for $38.69

Springtime and Sancerre go together like ham and Pinot. So why not do it all at once for Easter dinner? Famous mostly for Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre makes a few sneaky-good Pinot Noirs. The great ones don’t come around often or stick around long. They have a certain freshness and varietal purity about them that is both fascinating and beguiling. Better felt than “telt” as the Scots would say.

This bottling from Natter has long been a favorite. The family started the project earnestly in the 70s and is now well into the 2nd generation. Viticulture is careful and respectful, and that shows in the wines. If you like Pinot Noir that has a certain juicy verve, is fully ripe but not raisin-ated, and is just fancy enough to feel celebratory, this is your wine! Come grab a bottle and see why an adequate description is so hard to pin down for this beauty.
