Spring has really shown up around here lately. Everything is greening up and growing! Mama hatched her eggs, the guineas and ducks are laying eggs again, an our recently hatched chicks are laying around the coop being sassy.

The first group of our goat kids have now gone to their new home an it was so fun to see the family’s excitement when they picked them up. The next group goes soon a that will leave us with just 6 doelings left from this year.

In garden news, the good, bad and the frustrating. - Our lettuce, onions, beets and garlic are looking amazing!
It won’t stop raining long enough to finish tilling the last few rows, but hopefully next week.
And…a bunch of mice got into my seedlings and ate the tops off of all 18 trays of 72 seedlings each! So, we started over and are praying for the best.

There’s nothing like having a house full of ladies over for Scentsy bingo and having your last doe (7 days overdue) decide to deliver right in the middle of the evening. It was an awesome interruption and a great experience for everyone.

Oh the colors we are getting this year! Jigsaw puzzles, spots, lots of frosting, Chamoisee lines, half-n-halfs and tri-colors. Our stud Buckeye is really bring style points this year!

Here are Moonpie’s kids born this afternoon: doe (jigsaw), buck (half n half), and doe (spots). The fourth kid, a buck, was stillborn. None of these guys were lined up for the exit, so the birth was pretty hard on Moonpie. Believe me when I say she will be coddled and indulged these next days for sure!

Our totals stand at 9 does and 4 bucks so far with two more deliveries to go.
