We are Thousand Oaks Flowers & Farmstead in Springfield, Arkansas - where five generations of our family have worked this land since the late 1800s. Our name comes from the thousands of oak trees that have watched over these fields for more than a century. We're starting an exciting new chapter with our flower farm and farmstead! Whether you're a seasoned gardener or have never picked a flower before, come join us for this fresh adventure. Create your own beautiful bouquet right from our fields and visit our sweet little farm store. No worries - we'll show you how! We're bringing fresh flowers to this historic family land, growing with the same love and care that's been poured into these fields for generations. It's officially SWEATER WEATHER at Thousand Oaks! 🍂🩷

And we've got all kinds of homemade goodness waiting for you!

☕ Campfire Coffee is ready for those chilly mornings! A little coffee, a little cocoa, and a whole lot of cozy. Just add hot water or milk!

🍪 Freshly baked snickerdoodles and Marvelle's old-fashioned peanut butter cookies, made from a treasured family recipe.

🍓 Homemade strawberry, blackberry, and watermelon jellies.

🌿 Our farmstead herb salts, including basil, rosemary, lemon basil, and sage. Perfect for fall cooking and a little something different for gifting!

And outside? The mums are showing off, the pumpkins are plentiful, and fall has finally decided to act like fall in Arkansas! 🎃

Come pick out a pumpkin, grab a few mums for the porch, stock up on homemade treats, and enjoy a little time in the country.

Well, the votes are in, and Rose Medley it is! 🩷

Our little farmstand officially has her color, and I couldn't love it more!

We've still got plenty of work to do, but every day she's looking a little more like the vision we've had in our heads. The walls are up, the roof is on, the pink is PINK, and we're one step closer to having a permanent home for all the things we love sharing with you.

Next up? Trim, shelves, a refrigerator, and all those little finishing touches that will make her feel like Thousand Oaks.

And can we just appreciate the fact that JJ is building this entire thing while working a full-time job? Our Director of Dirt has been putting in some serious overtime. 😂

I know some of you have been following this project from the beginning, so I wanted to share a little progress and introduce you to our new color!

We've narrowed it down to two shades, and now we're turning the decision over to YOU!

Both photos show the same two colors in different lighting because we all know a pink can have a completely different personality in the sunshine. 🤷🏽‍♀️

We're pairing our pink with creamy white trim and a black metal roof, and we're going for charming, timeless, English-country flower farm vibes!

We finally cut open a few persimmon seeds to see what they’re predicting for winter and…

SPOONS. TWO OF THEM. 😂
According to old folklore, the shape inside a persimmon seed predicts the winter ahead:
🥄 Spoon = lots of snow to shovel
🔪 Knife = bitter, cutting cold
🍴 Fork = a milder winter

Is there any science behind this? Absolutely not. 😂

Am I choosing to believe these two tiny spoons anyway?

Seven years ago today, I kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the most Candace, Enneagram 3 (overachiever) way possible…

I had a bilateral mastectomy. 😇🩷

Efficient? Absolutely. Dramatic? Perhaps. 😂

But that day marked the beginning of a journey that changed me in ways I never could have imagined.

Today, I am SEVEN YEARS CANCER-FREE. 🥂🩷

Cancer certainly isn't something I would have chosen, but the woman who came out on the other side is more joyful, more brave, more grateful, and far more aware of just how beautiful this life really is.

I get to be here.

I get to grow flowers, bake bread, love my people, chase ridiculous ideas, laugh way too loudly, build things I'm told I can't build 😇, and share this beautiful life with the people I encounter along the way.

And I don't take a bit of it for granted.

So today, I'm raising a glass to seven years. To joy. To courage. To gratitude. And to all the beautiful life still ahead. 🥂🩷

And ladies…
If you haven't gotten your mammogram, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! 😂🩷
