Before this evening ends, I want to say something plainly.
Small dairies are not obsolete. We are not inefficient simply because we are small. We are not out of date, disposable, or a quaint piece of history that the industry has outgrown.
We know our cows. We know our land. We produce milk, employ people, support local businesses, and hold rural communities together. We’ve adapted again and again while being told that the only way forward is to get bigger or get out.
I’m tired of hearing that our disappearance is inevitable. Policies and market decisions helped bring us here. People can make different decisions.
I want to talk about solutions. I want facts, specific changes, and people willing to do the work.
We are still here. And we sure as hell are not going down without a fight.
I don’t care whether you’re a consumer, a family cow owner, or a producer. If you believe small dairies are worth fighting for, say it with me:
