Today, we want to congratulate Fed Kitchen & Papo’s Cafe and SGK Boutique for being nominated by our community for the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards.
Fed Kitchen/Papo’s Café was nominated for Small Business Owner of the Year, and SGK Boutique, Shayna Keeley was nominated for New & Emerging Business Owner of the Year.
What many people may not know is how the Westside Market began.
When these business owners connected in 2024, they started sharing their dreams and goals for both their businesses and the community.
During one conversation, Celeste mentioned to Shayna, “I’d love to do a market in our parking lot.” With a background in event planning and community outreach, Shayna immediately replied, “Heck yes!”
Two business owners with different skill sets but one common goal; to create something special & unique for the Westside community. ✨
Of course, they couldn’t do it alone. So, three additional amazing business owners brought even more talents and ideas to the table, helping turn that simple conversation into what is now the Westside Market.
Entering our second season, the market has become a tremendous success and a place where community, small businesses, and families come together.
Congratulations to these incredible businesses!!
