Week 4 for this Vorwerk pullet. I’m down to only two pullets, so it looks like I won’t be breeding these next year. 😩

Really, ladies 🤦🏼‍♀️. There’s three separate nesting boxes, yet you three decided to squish yourselves into one. Two hens have been in there for quite sometime already. I need to just pull them all out, put them in separate pens, candle eggs, and let them sit on whatever is viable. The original eggs should have hatched already. So far that means four Orpington (of seven) are broody. 😂

I just set my last major batch of eggs for the season. I still plan to set turkey eggs for as long as I can and will probably add a few chicken because turkeys do better with instructors at hatch.
Anyway, I’ve decided to keep the current birds in their pens. This means I will have eggs available on some of my more rare breeds. Priority will be given to local pickup as I’m trying not to hold eggs if I don’t have to. Though I can ship as well. I would prefer to ship eggs at three days collection- this means I may not have a full dozen at three days if you’re wanting only one breed.
I will have hen’s choice barnyard mix available from those that are free ranging. This is mostly the Eggers, Polish, Wyandotte, Iowa Blue, & Orpington. So eggs from there can be mixed or possibly pure bred as some birds are picky. In breeding pens, I have Tolbunt Polish, exhibition Salmon Faverolles, Crele Penedesenca, Swedish Flower Hen, exhibition Mottled Houdan, Spangled Russian Orloff, & Bielefelder.
Barnyard Mix are $10/dz;
Purebred are $80/dz (I encourage choosing a mix of these).
Shipping via USPS is $35; UPS is $50
We are NPIP; PT & AI clean.

I’ve got this one bantam Ameraucana cockerel. I’ve thought about maybe showing him, but I’m not sure his beard is good enough. His feathers are crappy right now too. Can I get a critique from my Ameraucana breeders?
This guy is young; I’m guessing around 7-8 months.

Our first broody Russian Orloff had her chicks hatching today. She’s one fierce momma too.

Now that I have the Tolbunt in their own secluded pen, I’m getting actual Tolbunt Polish. That last one still has loads of fuzz and is a bit more on the darker side. Interestingly enough, I’ve noticed these don’t seem to have much of a vaulted skull like the white crested black do. Maybe I can work on that. For now, I’m just trying to build the flock. And getting them to adulthood is the biggest hurdle- I’m terrible at raising Polish 😩- which is why my Polish flocks only number 3 individuals each.

It’s moving day, so picture time. Here’s another of those really cool looking Olive Eggers. Of course this would be a cockerel. This pattern is really neat; it’s like the Crele from the mother is fighting with the silver Crele of the father and it can’t decide if it should be Crele or not so all the colors come out in stripes. It’ll be interesting to see how this pattern feathers out. Probably not as cool as it is now.
