Thank you to all who participated in our first ever Springvale Farm Walk Photo Contest! We received 47 amazing photos to vote on, and had a great time looking through them all. The farmers have cast their votes, and it is time to share the winning pictures!
We will share more of the photos entered into the contest in the future, but for how help us congratulate the winners!
If one of your photos was chosen for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, we will be calling your shortly to coordinate picking up your prize!

Submit your photos from the Springvale Farm Walk to this year’s photo contest!
You may submit photos up to a week after the event. Photos can be from this year or previous Springvale Farm Walk events. The contest will close on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 at 9pm.
Photos must be in .jpg or .png format, under 25MB, and if possible, the files should be named with the photographer's first and last name and the title of the photo (ex. polly.mcadam-ladybughammock). Limit of 3 photos per person.
By submitting your photos to the Springvale Farm Walk photo contest you are giving permission to use your photos (with proper credit) for future promotion of this community event.
Prizes will be awarded to the winner and 2 runners-up in the weeks following the Farm Walk.
First prize gift basket will include: a local jar of honey from York County Beekeepers, gift card to Rivard Farm, lavender products from Sky Island Homestead, $20.00 gift certificate for frozen lamb from Noon Family Sheep Farm, local jam, pickles and a Springvale Farm Walk t-shirt!
Runner up prizes will include local goods curated by Katie and Joe of Blueberry Bend Farm.

Stop by for some breakfast treats before heading out to visit all 7 farms!
Muffins and Friends breakfast is put on by Three Rivers Land Trust, they will have a selection of homemade baked goods, including vegan and gluten-free options, along with coffee and tea.
Breakfast is by donation, and everything collected will support trail development and stewardship at the Sanford Community Forest.
Muffins and Friends starts at 9am in the barn at McDougal Orchards, all farms are open to visitors from 10am-2pm.

Our maps for the 2026 Springvale Farm Walk, this Sunday, July 26th!
Come walk, bike or drive to visit 7 farms in Springvale, Maine and discover the treasures at your local farms!
9:00AM "Muffins and Friends" homemade breakfast treats, coffee, tea, and good company put on by Three Rivers Land Trust in the barn at McDougal Orchards. Enjoy a variety of baked goods, including gluten-free and vegan options, while connecting with friends and neighbors. Refreshments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All donations will support Three Rivers Land Trust's conservation work and ongoing trail development at the Sanford Community Forest.

10AM-2PM Farms on Hanson Ridge Rd, Blanchard Rd and Sunset Rd will be open. There is no single starting time or place. Parking is available at multiple farms and there are bathrooms and port-a-johns along the route. The paths are well-marked and kid friendly. Sturdy shoes and dressing according to the weather forecast are recommended. Mountain bikers, runners, and dogs on leashes are welcome.

This year we will also have a Story Stroll between Twin Maples Farm and Sky Island Homestead as well as a photo contest with prizes for the winners!
