We will be open tomorrow, Saturday, July 19, from 7 AM until Noon.

Tomorrow could very well be the last picking day this season! The early variety is finished, and some of the later variety bushes are empty, too. There are some bushes like the one pictured. We rode through the farm a few minutes ago and mapped out the bushes to pick. Get here early to get the best picking!

Look at all these berries! This has been a GREAT year for the berry production.

A local store was advertising their blueberries for $4.99 for 18 oz. (They also had organic for $7.49 for 18 oz.) That got me wondering what the difference in price was, so I weighed all the buckets last Saturday and got an average. For $10, you are getting around 85 oz. of fresh blueberries that are basically organic since we don't spray them. We just don't fill out all the paperwork to label them as such. You would pay close to $24 ($35 organic) at that store for the same amount of berries! They also sold a pint for $3.99, which would be around $32 for a gallon!

Blueberries freeze well, so why not come get delicious fresh berries while they're still in season and put them in your freezer to enjoy year round? There's very little prep work involved in freezing berries.

We are probably looking at only a couple more weeks in the season. We'll be open Tuesday and Saturday from 7 AM until Noon. Get them while you can!

This might be the peak week for blueberry season this year! Berries are only around for 4-6 weeks. We have two varieties, and the early variety will be petering out soon. Blueberries freeze well, so come pick a gallon or two (or more!) and load up your freezer so that you can have great tasting berries year round!

Don't know what to do with those berries? Check out https://bearmountainblueberryfarm.com and the recipe tab for inspiration.

We are open Tuesday and Saturday from 7 AM until Noon.

We are going to open on Tuesday, June 17, at 7:00 AM, weather permitting, and will stay open until noon or we're picked out! The bushes that are ready only make up 1/3 of our crop and they are just beginning their season. If you have to drive a long way, you'll need to be here at 7!

For those who are new to our farm, we only have blueberries. They're $10 per gallon, you pick. We provide buckets and bags to carry your berries home. We only accept cash--our cell service is sketchy here, making online transactions a hassle. There is no public restroom.

We do not spray the bushes with any pesticides, so while the berries are totally natural, we have ants, chiggers, and mosquitoes. You should wear socks and closed-toe shoes and even use some bug spray before picking. Sunscreen and a hat are your friends, too. Blueberries like sunshine, so you will be in the sun most of the time.

If it rains, we will close. Check the weather for 8245 Clayton Road, 35146, before you drive a long way!
