Home and still unpacking from the The Kansas City Barbeque Society world Inventional. Was a wet weekend for sure. Saturday for the Wells Cup we thought we had something going but definitely fell short on pork which we thought was good. Did get some interesting score cards too lol. May have been the best category. We did get calls for 4th in Prairie Fresh ribs and a perfect score 7th place Snake River Farms brisket. Best part Saturday was Nicky getting a PERFECT PERFECT 1st place in dessert. Want to congratulate our good buddy with Scuffletown Smokers BBQ Team on their RGC and Kings BBQ on GC and both a trip to Vagus for the BBQ World Cup & Expo. Sunday for the invitational we thought we had a great cook but no calls. Congrats to Phantom Smoke & BBQ on their RGC and Wags Backwoods BBQ on their GC and a trip to Vagus for the BBQ World Cub & Expo. Congrats to all that heard their names through the weekend.

Made the short 3 hour trip down to Kennett Missouri for the Kennett Jaycees BBQ competition. Nicky wasn’t able to, go so I went solo with a couple drums and a tent. I had a good cook and the judges agreed.

2nd Chicken
9th ribs Fresh
1st pork Prairie Fresh with a perfect score.
12th brisket
Good enough for Grand Champion with a 707.

Congrats to Kermit's Ex BBQ for taking RGC and congrats to all that heard their names.

Unpacked from getting home late last night from Smoke In The Spring in Osage City Kansas. Definitely had a great time. Corey and wife out on a fantastic competition. As far as the cook, we thought we had a solid cook and liked what we turned in. Judges definitely thought different. Pork was almost 96th lol. 🤷‍♂️ we did manage to get a 10th place call in Brisket. Thanks to my good buddy Deno Harter for helping and run boxes. Do want to congratulate Slap's BBQ for RGC and Blind Fox BBQ for their GC. Also congrats to both for qualifying to compete in Vegas for a Million Dollars $$$ at the BBQ World Cup & Expo.

Last minute class add on!

Feb 27-28 in Benton, IL

Several students had to cancel due to the unforeseen weather that Southern Illinois hasn’t seen in 20 years! We wanted to offer them the opportunity to still get their class in this off-season. And if we’re going to do it, we’re going to do it!

LIMITED AVAILABILITY REMAINING - planning to seat 25 but having this class regardless for those who missed this weekend.
