The idea of Rooster's Rub, and Rooster himself, were both born in Memphis,Tennessee. While growing up, Rooster's dad enjoyed traditional Midwest comfort foods prepared by his mother. Since then Rooster's dad has had the pleasure of living in some the greatest food cities in the U.S. (San Francisco, Memphis and Las Vegas) as well as traveling to many parts of the Mediterranean, Europe, South Pacifi
c, Central America and the Caribbean. After sampling a variety of cuisines from these regions then reproducing the flavors for his family, he created many spice blends that always received rave reviews. Often, in his excitement, grabbing, mixing & carefully selecting the right ingredients from the spice cabinet, he always forgot to write them down. Over the years, family & friends urged Rooster's dad to record and share his recipes. With the help of Rooster's mother, a born and raised Southern Louisiana girl who is no stranger to bold flavors, we have produced our take on our favorite blends of herbs and spices.
