🥛 LET’S TALK RAW MILK
A customer recently left a comment on one of our posts asking that we do more to acknowledge the risks associated with consuming unpasteurized products—and she made a fair point.
At Act Natural, education matters just as much as what we put on our shelves.
We sell roughly 80 gallons of raw milk every week and have for several years. We’ve built a great track record, but that doesn’t mean you should trust just any raw milk.
Raw milk is unpasteurized and can carry foodborne illness risks. That’s why we heavily vet the farms we work with—and we encourage you to do your homework, too. Ask questions. Know where your food comes from. Learn about the farm, its testing, sanitation, handling, and standards.
And there’s another part of this we love: when you purchase these products, you’re supporting Georgia farmers and independent local businesses. Of the three farms we currently work with, two are women-owned, and we’re incredibly proud to support them.
🥛 Know your farmer. Know your source. Do your due diligence. Make an informed choice.
And most importantly, thank you to all the families who choose to support these Georgia farmers and support our family-owned business in the process. Every gallon you purchase supports real people, real families, and small businesses right here in Georgia—and we never take that support for granted. 💚
Thank you as well to the customer who raised this point and gave us another opportunity to do something we believe deeply in—educate.

Disclaimer: With the use of risk management strategies, raw milk can be a low-risk food. However, there is no such thing as a perfectly safe food. Pasteurized milk is not perfectly safe, either, and is implicated in foodborne illnesses and outbreaks every year.
