Down To Earth Farm CSA Down to Earth is a cooperative CSA. Members help with farm work and receive a weekly share of the harvest. Shares for the 2026 growing season are available now.

Membership in the CSA is based on shares of the harvest. Members are called shareholders and they subscribe or underwrite the harvest for the entire season in advance. In this way, the members sha

re in the variability of yields on the farm from year to year. At Down to Earth CSA, the members share the work of growing, and throughout the season receive fresh vegetables every week.

Sharing a few scenes from the farm recently. It’s hard to see the netting, but we have covered the strawberries. They are setting fruit, so we know our friends the pollinators have visited. Rich hilled the potatoes, a tough job, but they look great! And, “lettuce” celebrate all the plants popping up in our garden. First harvest is getting closer! Working shares are still available. It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Peter Miller passed away earlier this week. Peter was a longtime member of Down to Earth and helped with virtually every aspect of the farm's operation. We will miss his cheerful presence, inventive problem-solving, and generous spirit. Indeed, it was through Caroline and Peter's generosity that we were able to continue farming when we suddenly found ourselves without land a few years back. He was truly a bright light!

What a great day to get down to earth! We had a fine group of farmers come out to help us tackle some early season jobs. We repaired our fences, prepared some garden beds, spread compost, and even got some snow and snap peas planted. And look! Garlic and asparagus are peeking through their mulch.
