It’s hard to believe how fast this growing season went by.

In less than two weeks we close the farm stand for the season.

We had a little bit of a lot of things this season. lol! I’m kidding, we had quite a season. I just like to shame myself on the failures.

Anyway, as most of you know we will be closing for the season at 6pm on Halloween. There will be free candy in the stand for anyone who visits that day. Help yourselves.

We do expect to sell eggs over the winter. Starting the weekend after the farm stand closes, they’ll be in the red cooler by our mailbox. We will start out only selling eggs on the weekends until supplies pick up. So follow us on this page to find out when more are available.

Meanwhile, thank you all SO, SO MUCH for your patronage. We greatly appreciate it. ❤️ See you in the spring!

The rain took just enough of a break for me to plant all the garlic. 🧄

All that’s left to do is go get some mulch hay and put this garden to bed for the winter. 🛌 ❄️

I had a minor stroke of genius. 😆

I figured out a way to make a dry pantry mix for zucchini bread! Here it is!! This recipe makes 2 loaves!

There are two packages taped together (only because I don’t have Mylar bags big enough for it all yet), one is the flour/sugar mix and the other is our own home grown, freeze dried zucchini and eggs! 🐓

The directions are incredibly simple and it makes TWO LOAVES!!

I’m still getting the hang of the label maker and piecing together other recipes but this will do for now. These dry pantry mixes make life so much easier. Less work, less time, less mess. It’s great! 👍

Did I mention it makes 2 loaves? 🤔

You can find these and several other dry pantry mixes in the farm stand this weekend! 😃

I love farming/gardening/homesteading!! I love everything about it…even when it makes me crazy.

I get excited learning about new gardening techniques, new building ideas, farm improvements, new innovations….I get excited about all of it!!

Now, if you remind me I said all that when something broke and it takes me 3 aggravating hours to fix it and have several wounds to prove it, I might feel differently, but otherwise, I can’t help it! I love it! 🥰 🌱 🐓 🦆 🦃 🥚 🍎 🍑 🫛 🥬 🧄 🍐 🥦 🧅 🌿 🍅 🥒 🫐 🍓 ❤️ 👩🏻‍🌾

After making several more of these dry pantry mixes I’m finding they require a bit more water or milk than the instructions say. I’ll be adjusting the instructions moving forward.

I’ll be loading more apples into the farm stand in the morning! Yes, that is a toddler wagon. I lost my bucket. 😆
