Recently Wild Run was asked to submit a photo of the best brewhouse dog in Stafford. We, of course, sent a photo of Friedrich of Aquia, though we all call him Fritz. He is named after Friedrich Heyn Kelly, son of Dr. Howard Atwood Kelly (who owned Government Island quarry years ago, btw.)

Friedrich is a good German name for a good German dog.

Fritz is always anxious to welcome a guest with a wagging tail regardless of how far they have traveled. He also has a nose for the truth.

Bill Williams was a good member of the Board of Supervisors here in Stafford. I appreciated his insights and honesty. We are sorry to learn of his passing. Rest In Peace.

Stafford County mourns the passing of former County Board of Supervisors member Elmer Cassius “Bill” Williams. Williams served as the Aquia representative on the Board from 1990 to 1993. You never know who you will meet at Wild Run. It could be an international traveler, like one of our birds, or someone who spends his entire life on the Wild Run property. This morning one of my favorite bugs stopped by for a visit.
