The only way to survive the chaos of change is to stay . When so much lies ahead, life is reshuffled yet again… I look to the beauty of the future I am creating in the present. Currently, the new jewelry line and business are keeping me calm and about my and in the coming months and years. It’s exciting! I just finished this tonight, a leather-backed collar piece called Although I will be producing a line, each piece of my is 100% always.

Some fired pieces for a new jewelry line, Elemental. Here are cast copper, steel and bronze river stones. I’m still in the testing process with kiln temps and metal sources, but I can’t waIt to start assembling them into the designs nipping at my heels. This week I will make some in sterling silver and champagne bronze, so the finished pieces will be a beautiful assortment of rich metallic color. As always, my metal works are backed in the softest of leathers for comfort and luxury. It’s wonderful to move toward a new year with a fresh direction.

It’s getting cold enough to need the wood stove in the studio. I’m burning Maple from the tree I had to remove and it smells amazing, like sweet BBQ.

When new friends from the city are at the beginning stages of farmhouse renovation, and show up with treasures! Some really interesting (if not cruel, by today’s animal consciousness) horse bits made from wood, rope, wrought iron, wrapped hide… I’ll have to figure out some sort of display, as the vintage tack collection is growing in leaps and bounds.

And the good news is…. All three are hens! Little quacks confirm my suspicion.

That look of invigoration from my first trip down to NYC since moving back instate. 17 years since I’ve wandered those streets full of wonder… and today Brooklyn didn’t disappoint! I’m so inspired and invigorated. And tonight I rest in the bubble of silence at the farm once again.
