Yes, squash plants are starting to produce a little, but they are taking a LOT of water. I will have a few baskets of squash tomorrow at the Jones Haskell Farmers Market in Stamford at 501 N Swenson Street. The market will be open from 4:00 until about 7:00. Squash will be joined by orange and red meat watermelons, okra, beef, baked goods, and maybe a few peppers. Pecos cantaloupe, fresh picked watermelons, local raised beef, banana nut bread, okra, cookies, blueberry bread, cucumbers, peppers and more at the Jones Haskell Farmers Market in Stamford this afternoon Tuesday, August 18th. OK, Stamford area, for the first time this year, cantaloupe will be available at the Jones Haskell Farmers Market in Stamford, tomorrow, Tuesday August 18th at 501 N Swenson Street. Not just cantaloupe, but Pecos Cantaloupe plus another new vendor with fresh bake goods including cookies, banana nut bread, banana nut chocolate chip bread (now that sounds interesting), and blueberry bread. I will try to post a complete lineup of products available tomorrow around noon but be sure to stop by and welcome our new vendors at the market between 4 and 7.
