I’ve always been a foodie – hard to avoid when you’re from a big Italian family full of chefs and bakers! But after having my first child, my ideas about good food began to change. My husband I decided to give our daughter the healthiest, freshest foods available and that meant a fresh start for us, also. After my second daughter was born, I found it difficult to take off the last 10 lbs of baby w

eight and committed to changing our family over to eating clean all of the time. The biggest challenge was my sweet tooth – so I set my mind to creating treats and sweets that didn’t require using sugar, white flour, or processed ingredients. Before long, my friends (and dedicated taste testers) were asking me to fill orders of clean treats for events, parties, and gifts… and this is how JacqueLean’s Treats was born. My third baby, if you will, that inspires my family and friends to eat clean and stay healthy – from the first nibble of an appetizer all the way through indulging in desert!

Celebrated Christmas Eve with my huge Italian family yesterday and had lots of food indulgences. Today I hosted Christmas at my house and was determined to stick to Paleo diet while also making food that my family would enjoy. Everything was a big hit!! We had paleo sweet potato casserole, sausage and pesto stuffed zucchini roll ups, bacon wrapped turkey, and chocolate peppermint macaroons. What did everyone else make/have?

Thanksgiving Cake Pops!!

They aren't clean or paleo (although they could be aside from the decorations) because I was assisting my sister-in-law for a work function again. I thought they were too cute though so I had to share them anyway.
I am also planning to offer Christmas themed paleo version cake pops and found these a good teaser of what's to come!
