Normally we would be planting our spring seedlings on our farm … this year we thought we’d try something different… we are potting all of our tress and keeping them close to our house …. Hopefully this will give us a better survival rate over the summer heat and then plan to plant later this fall .

We got in our first round of baby trees today.. planting a little different with this group.. going to keep them in 1 gallon containers.. then transplant in the fall .

Some info on what to do with your tree!!

The holidays have sadly come to an end and many have started taking their Christmas decorations down. When it comes to your fresh (errr...now a tad dry) Christmas tree, we have some tips! 🌲🌲🌲

First of all, never never never burn your Christmas tree indoors in a wood fireplace or stove. This can be very dangerous!

A sustainable option is to mulch your tree. Mulch the branches and use them in your garden or around your farm.

Check your local recycling center for free drop-off locations (some even pick-up for free!).

-or-

You can trim up the tree yourself (safely, please!) and add it into your yard waste container.

Whichever way you choose to dispose of your biodegradable tree, be sure to follow your community's rules and regulations!
