Two of my splits have successfully requeened and they both are laying well.

Another little "experiment" split is working on rearing their new queen. Since there are so many cells, I will be making even more splits... 😅

​If you love a hearty, rustic loaf, this one is for you. Spelt flour gives it a rich, slightly nutty flavor, and the top is loaded with a crunchy blend of toasted pumpkin, sunflower, and sesame seeds.

Spelt flour is an ancient grain, cultivated for thousands of years and popular in central Europe. ​Unlike modern wheat, which has been intensively hybridized over the last century for high yields, mechanical harvesting, and industrial baking, spelt has remained largely unchanged. It still retains its tough outer hull, which protects the grain from pests and pollutants, preserving its nutrient-dense germ and endosperm. It is high protein, high fiber and highly digestible!

So many mixed feelings, but I have a date!

After waiting all winter and spring, my surgery date is booked! I finally have a date where this energy drain is *hopefully* forever over and healing can begin!

Thank you all for your patience while I deal with health hurdles. It has been quiet, uneventful (literally, no craft shows!) and slow for new products to churn out. I appreciate every last one of you who has continued to support us, recommend us to your friends and family, shared our posts and waited for the comeback!

*SO* excited to get back to it!

Health update!

After waiting for Mayo clinic to give me an answer on their financial assistance program... I found out I was denied. That was a bummer.

HOWEVER...

I now have a surgery consult with the U of M on May 27th for removal of my parathyroid adenoma. I am nervous for it and to go under the knife, but super excited to *hopefully* get my cognitive abilities and energy back.
